Hulk Hogan Mysterious belt autographed

From what we can tell, Hogan used this belt 3 times in a one week period, before it disappeared. Hogan went back to using the Hogan 86.

Not many pictures of the belt in use exist. I only know of 3. There is a video of the Orndorff match above on YouTube but it's constantly flagged for copyright violation.

One person said they vaguely recall Jack Tunney giving Hogan the belt on TV as a gift for his 2nd anniversary as champion? No one seems to be able to find any footage of this. Footage was found of Tunney giving Hogan a trophy for his 3rd year anniversary. If anyone happens to know more details about this, it would be very much appreciated.

So back to the "Mystery" belt.

The belt was made by then WWF belt maker Reggie Parks. The belt featured a picture of Hulk Hogan on it. This same design was later used in 1988 as the basis of the WCW 6 Man Tag Team titles. When asked about it, Reggie couldn't recall any of the circumstances surrounding the creation and reason for the belt, other than that it was replaced because Hulk didn't like how big the main plate was, and that it dug into him when wearing it. (Hulk also voiced the same complaint about the larger Undisputed belt decades later)

We in the belt community have speculated about this belt for several years. The artwork for this belt was eventually found, but only 95% complete. It was completed based on the pictures and what Reggie remembers.

This week the person who owns the only known copy of that belt posted it for sale on BeltTalk.com. Anyone interested, the price is $7,000. It is authentic and made by Reggie Parks.
